I Train Studio Rules
Welcome to I Train, our self-training space. Because these sessions run without an instructor present, a few simple rules keep everyone safe, the space cared for, and the system working for all of us. By booking a session you agree to follow them.
1. Always book first
Every visit needs a booked slot and a valid I Train pass. You may enter the studio from 15 minutes before your booked session and only during I Train opening hours.
2. Cancelling
Plans change — please cancel at least 2 hours before your slot starts, so someone else can take it. Cancel in the SportsNow app under your bookings.
Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the session are not refunded, and the credit is deducted from your pass. With only 4 spots per session, a late cancellation means someone else missed out.
3. Check in with your own pass — every time
Open the SportsNow app and scan the terminal to enter. Never let anyone in who hasn't checked in themselves. Each person must have their own booking and must scan the QR code at the door to check in (even if you arrive at the same time with another person who also booked) — this is how we keep the space secure and make sure everyone using it is authorised to be there. If someone is locked out, they should contact us, not be let in.
Your credit is deducted when you check in.
4. Respect the capacity — no guests or shared access
Maximum 4 people per session — one person per booking, one reformer each. Please don't bring an extra person, even a friend. Your pass and check-in are personal and may not be shared.
5. If the door doesn't open
Don't force it. Check that it is no earlier than 15 minutes before your booked session and that your pass is valid, then contact us:
- Nina Britschgi (SportsNow Admin): +41 79 628 1951
- Serra Faraci: +41 78 784 89 89
6. Train safely — you're on your own here
Use the equipment only in ways you've been shown. If you're unsure how something works, ask us before your session — please don't try equipment for the first time unsupervised. Work at your own pace and know your limits. If you feel unwell, stop.
7. Hygiene & equipment care
Wipe down all equipment and mats after use, and return props to their place.
8. Video library
If you're following one of our videos during your session, please bring headphones — others may be training at the same time.
9. Bathroom
The bathroom key hangs on the hook next to the hallway door. Please return it to the same spot after use.
Do not remove the hallway door key — keep it in the lock, and lock the door once you're done using the bathroom.
10. When you leave
Take all your belongings with you. If you're the last one out, please close the windows, switch off the lights, and make sure the door closes and locks behind you.
11. Respect the space and each other
Keep it quiet, tidy, and arrive and leave on time so the next person's slot isn't affected.
12. In an emergency
Emergency exit: The terminal entry door (back) always opens from the inside. Alternatively, go through the hallway door and out the front or back of the building.
First-aid kit: in the large green sideboard in the entry area (the room after the changing room, before the main studio).
Emergency number: 144
Our address, to give responders: Hardstrasse 24, 4052 Basel
13. Liability
Self-Training takes place without supervision and at your own risk. Only use equipment you have been shown how to use, and report any fault or hazard to us immediately. Full terms are set out in our Studio Policy & Booking Terms, which you accept when you book.
